How working with me works
Every way of working with me starts with a conversation. You tell me what's going on, what you'd like to change and a bit of your history, and I ask questions. From there, the work can stay in conversation or move into the body, the shamanic or touch, at a pace that feels comfortable and safe to you.
HOW TO START
-
A free 15-minute call. You ask me anything you want to know, and we decide together whether I'm the right person for you. You are welcome skip this and book a session right away.
-
Book. Through my booking page, or send me a WhatsApp on +27 82 066 3988. I reply within 24 hours.
-
Two forms. When you book, you'll receive an intake form and a consent form for the kind of work we've agreed on.
-
Your first session. We talk. I'll have read your intake form, so we start from what you've already told me.
THE WAY
WE WORK
Many clients only ever work with me in conversation, and that's complete in itself. Others come to me because I also work with the body, the shamanic and touch. We only go into a new way of working when you want to, and you can step back from it at any time.
RELATIONSHIP WORK
Conflict, repair, communication, desire, parenting together, opening a relationship, and ending one with care. This looks like classic talk therapy, with me more involved. I guide the conversation, and we practise with tools and worksheets together in the session so you can use them at home.

I work with gender-diverse people in all relationship structures, and with co-parents.
INDIVIDUAL
TALK WORK
The same approach, one-to-one. I guide the conversation, and we practise tools you can use in your day-to-day life. People often come to work with shame, sexuality, identity, a relationship, a transition or a crisis.
SOMATIC WORK
Here we work with your nervous system and body as well as your words: regulation, co-regulation, movement, gesture and sound. It helps when talking hasn't changed something, for example tension you carry in your body, or a reaction you understand but can't stop.
SHAMANIC WORK
This is where we explore meaning, your spirituality and your connection to the world around you. It draws on philosophy and mysticism, and on the shamanic training I received through my mother's lineage of healers and seers. Sessions can include drumming, energy work, intuition work and ancestral support. I also work with people preparing for and integrating psychedelic experiences, and my [psychedelic integration page] explains how.
SOMATOSENSUAL THERAPY & TOUCH
SomatoSensual Therapy is a framework I developed for working with sexuality through the body and nervous system as well as through conversation. It's for individuals, and for couples who want practical help with things like different levels of desire, deepening attunement and pleasure, working with giving/receiving/taking/allowing, learning to talk about sex, navigating sexual trauma, or the way religion shaped what we learnt about sex.
-
Touch is part of some SomatoSensual sessions, but never assumed:
-
Touch is ALWAYS optional. You decide whether it's part of your work at all.
-
Anything physical is agreed in advance, in conversation, and you set the limit.
-
We start small and build slowly.
-
You can lower the limit or stop at any moment.
-
There is no sex between me and clients.
PRIVACY & RESPECT
My work is private, confidential and discreet. I'm comfortable working with people in public life, and online sessions and home visits are both available if coming to a venue isn't easy for you.
You decide what we work on and how far we go. I use the names and pronouns you give me, and I treat the people you call family as your family, whether they're related to you or chosen.
What you tell me stays between us. The exception is a risk to your life or someone else's, where I'd act to keep people safe and tell you first if I can
MY TRAINING & REGISTRATION
I have a Bachelor of Applied Social Science, majoring in psychology and counselling and specialising in gender, sex and HIV, and I trained as a shamanic practitioner through my mother's lineage. I've chosen not to register with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, because registration doesn't cover the shamanic, touch-based and psychedelic integration work I do.

That means I don't diagnose, I'm not a medical aid provider, and I can't issue medical certificates. My accountability sits with Mishka Latib, founder of the Psychedelic Society of South Africa, who is my accountability partner and mediator, and with the Safety Network. If you have a concern about our work, you can raise it with me or with either of them.
WHAT I DON'T
WORK WITH
I'm not the right person if you're in an acute psychiatric crisis, if you're actively thinking about ending your life, or if your sessions are court-mandated. If you need urgent help, contact the South African Depression and Anxiety Group's suicide crisis line on 0800 567 567, or go to your nearest hospital emergency unit.
MOVING OR CANCELLING
You can move a studio or online session with nothing charged if you tell me at least 48 hours before. Home visits and SomatoSensual sessions need 72 hours. Each booking page has the full policy, including what happens if you're ill.
BETWEEN
SESSIONS
You can message me between sessions if something comes up. For anything that needs more than a quick reply, there's a 30-minute support call. How often we meet is up to you; some people come weekly for a while, others once a month.
